Beginning with the end in mind or more accurately, goal setting, is vital to lifetime financial planning. We aim to help BAAPS Support members step away from their daily routine and consider what lifestyle they are ultimately aiming for, and any risks which may need mitigating along the way.
Pension and retirement planning are key examples. What kind of lifestyle are we looking for in retirement? Where will we live and holiday, what ambitions do we have for our family, and ultimately how much will this cost each month? What additional capital expenditures do we foresee as we save for retirement? Such expenditures could include anything from business expansion and luxury items to weddings and university fees.
